What To Expect

How To Prepare for your Treatment

Avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks or sunless tanning for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your laser treatment.

Avoid any other aesthetic treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, acne therapies or other exfoliating treatments to the area being lasered for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment.

We recommend shaving the area the 24 hours prior to your treatment and make sure the area is free of skincare creams or lotions.

What to Expect During and After Treatment

Most patients find their laser hair removal treatments very tolerable. Some describe their laser hair removal treatment to feel like a rubber band snapping against the skin. At PureSkin Dermatology, we use a cooling cryogen spray with every laser pulse, making your laser hair removal treatment virtually painless.

After your treatment, our skincare experts will spray the area with sterile Thermal water to help decrease inflammation and provide ice packs if needed for more sensitive areas.
